To glorify God by giving young adults a classical and Christ-centred education that equips them for a life of learning, excellence, wisdom, discipline and virtue.
We aspire to graduate generations of biblically informed young men and women who have a heart for the community, the ability to radically influence the culture for Christ, the courage to take a stand for the truth and the faith to believe that with God, all things are possible.
We believe that Christ is the centre and the starting point of all learning and wisdom. Through prayer and petition, students are taught to view all of life under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
We follow a timeless and traditional classical model of education that moves students through the trivium – with a focus on rhetoric.
We view education as a means for soul formation, rather than simply as skill-building. As such, education can not be reduced to merely data transmission, but rather as the transfer of wisdom from one generation to the next, preparing souls for this world and the world to come. This formation of character, virtue, and faithful discipleship is a life-long endeavour, and is the goal of all participants at Cromwell Hall. The local community of faith is uniquely positioned as the appropriate context for this work.
We believe education is not merely accumulating knowledge, but growing in wisdom (how to apply knowledge) and virtue (how to apply knowledge with moral excellence), through faith and repentance.
We are committed to both academic and spiritual excellence through a comprehensive curriculum while encouraging imagination and promoting the development of body, mind and soul.
This self-governing model of education should be deployed for local human flourishing. Most academic institutions feed on communities, but with little ability to sustain and resource. Cromwell Hall emphasizes local mentorship, discipleship, vocational and professional development, with the desired outcome of flourishing families, businesses, churches, and civic enterprise.
